1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Paleon Training ("we", "us"), a company registered in England & Wales at 42 Okemore Gardens, Orpington, Kent BR5 3PH, collects and uses personal data when you use the Paleon Training website and learning platform (the "Service"). We are the data controller for the information described below.

3. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and provide access to courses you've paid for;
- to process and confirm payments;
- to grade assignments, quizzes, and capstone projects, and track your progress;
- to send you service emails, such as password resets and payment confirmations;
- to keep the Service secure — for example, detecting suspicious login activity;
- to meet our legal and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your course data for advertising.
4. Legal basis for processing
We process most of your data because it's necessary to perform our contract with you (providing the course you enrolled in) or to comply with a legal obligation (such as accounting records). Where we rely on legitimate interest — for example, security monitoring — we balance that against your rights.
5. Who we share it with
- Payment processors, to process card payments;
- Our hosting provider (InMotion Hosting), which stores the application and its database;
- Our email delivery provider (InMotion Hosting), to send transactional emails (password resets, receipts, notifications);
- Instructors and administrators at Paleon Training, to grade your work and manage your enrolment;
- law enforcement or regulators, where we're legally required to.
6. International transfers
We serve students in the United Kingdom, Nigeria, and elsewhere, so your data may be processed in a different country than the one you're in. Where we transfer personal data outside the UK, we use appropriate safeguards required by UK data protection law.
7. How long we keep your data
We keep your account and course data for as long as your account is active, and for 1 year after account closure to meet legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution needs.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have rights to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate data;
- request deletion of your data, subject to our legal obligations;
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- request a copy of your data in a portable format.

9. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies/tokens to keep you logged in and to protect your account. We do not currently use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
10. Children's privacy
The Service is intended for adults seeking professional/vocational training and is not directed at children.
11. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and rate limiting on login attempts to resist brute-force attacks. No system is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above.
